4-20 mA Vibration Sensors

Monitoring the vibrations of roller bearings is usually the best early-warning method to detect emerging bearing damage. If you need a single 4-20 mA overall vibration sensor for a PLC, our PCH 1106 is the perfect choice for you.

The PCH 1106 is a compact vibration sensor designed for the permanent monitoring of unbalance and misalignment problems in rotating machinery.

The PCH 1106 Vibration Sensor has an excellent frequency response curve up to the promised 1000 Hz, so you are sure to be monitoring the higher frequencies such as gear mesh or blade pass frequencies without any damping in the signal.



 

Measure Temperature and Vibrations with One Sensor

If your application also requires temperature measurements, you can save the cost of installing a PT100 sensor with a transmitter when you use the PCH 1106 T.

Both vibration and surface temperature measurements are provided through dual 4-20 mA outputs, making a separate PT100 transmitter redundant.

For an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 °C the instrumentation doesn’t get any easier. Some PCH 1106 Mk2 versions measure 0-100 °C or deliver RAW output as well.

The sensor is delivered in stainless steel 1.4305 housing with an integrated M8 mounting stud and a M12 top exit connector.

The PCH 1106 Comes in These Versions

PCH 1106 for ISO 10816-3/20816-3

The sensor comes in sturdy, stainless steel 1.4305 housing with an integrated M8 mounting stud and a 4-pin M12 top exit connector.

It offers 2 outputs relative to the overall vibration level, making it possible to connect both a PLC and a local display. You will have 4-20 mA and 1-5 VDC available simultaneously.
 

The PCH 1106 for ISO 20816-3 measures:  

  • Velocity mm/s, 0-10/20/50/100 mm/s
  • Filter range 10-1000 Hz
  • True RMS detector
  • 4-20 mA / 1-5 VDC output
  • Article code PCH1106/CHF8116: 0-10 mm/s
  • Article code PCH1106/CHF8112: 0-20 mm/s
  • Article code PCH1106/CHF8113: 0-50 mm/s
  • Special 8-pin version PCH1106/CHF8170X1: 0-50 mm/s
The sensor measures in mm/s, m/s2 or mm, rms or Pk-Pk, and provides an output in both mA and voltage relative to full scale (FS). The sensor is sensitive parallel to the length axis.
