Green-y has developed a patented, highly efficient oil-free compressor with a capacity of up to 90 kW.
They reached out to us for a monitoring solution that would help them understand system dynamics, optimise performance, and adjust parameters for long-term protection of their compressor.
The solution: A customised plug 'n' play monitoring kit
Green-Y has been using PCH monitoring equipment during the R&D stages to gain insights into the operation of their patented oil-free, high-efficiency compressor.
We customised the first monitoring kit in close collaboration with the client to ensure a plug-and-play solution.
With a 4-channel PCH 1420 Vibration Monitor and the PCH EtherBridge, a wide range of real-time data – including time waveform recordings – is transferred to Green-Y’s PLC system via a standard OPC UA protocol.
R&D benefits
The solution helps the R&D team perform preliminary FFT spectrum analysis and other in-depth evaluations to understand system dynamics, optimise performance, and adjust parameters for long-term protection. Two measuring points on the bearing housing provide vibration and resonance monitoring for bearing condition assessment. Thanks to mounting pads, no drilling is required.
