Cost-Effective Vibration Monitors Made in Denmark

The compact range of affordable vibration sensors and vibration monitors feature analogue as well as digital accelerometers, all of which are designed, developed and manufactured at PCH Engineering’s production facility in Denmark.

The PCH Compact Range forms a cost-effective alternative to more complex monitoring solutions for machine owners who wish to protect their simple, rotating machinery from damage and avoid unscheduled production stops.

And it doesn’t end there.
 

Collect trend data or perform FFT analyses

Scalar values and real-time time-stream / waveform recordings can be collected using the free PCH Vibration Studio software.

Trend data can also be supplied to existing SCADA or PLC solutions using standard communication protocols like ModBus, TCP, RTU or OPC UA. These data can be made available as 4-20 mA / 0-5V signals or stored locally in a PCH Datalogger module.

When convenient, waveforms can be FFT transformed and analysed on site or remotely.

PCH Compact Range

PCH 1220 Vibration Guard

Are you looking for an electronic vibration switch with just one relay and no 4-20 mA output?

The PCH 1220 is a low-cost solution for a basic protection application.
PCH 1220 constantly monitors the machine vibration within a 10-1000 Hz (ISO 10816-3/20816-3) frequency band and compares the value to the preset alarm threshold.

You can use the PCH 1220 on fans, pumps and blowers where you need a digital alarm input, but can do without a 4-20 mA reading. The vibration alarm is preset at delivery, simplifying the installation.

The sensor is supplied in stainless steel 1.405 housing with an integrated M8 mounting stud and a M12 top exit connector.

PCH 1220 measuring parameter:
  • Velocity in mm/s
  • Frequency range: 10 to 1000 Hz (DIN/ISO 10816-3/20816-3)
  • Alarm level in mm/s pre-set to individual requirements
  • Alarm relay with delay time
  • Status indicator through LED on the monitor
  • 4-pin M12 connector

PCH 1232 Vibration Guard (Modbus RTU)

Modbus RTU vibration sensorThe PCH 1232 vibration sensor offers full integration with Modbus RTU in a distributed RS 485 network.

For new automation projects or upgrades, the integration to Modbus RTU is simple and delivers much more vibration measurement data than the classical 4-20 mA outputs.

The PCH 1232 vibration sensor offers full integration with Modbus RTU in a distributed RS 485 network.

Up to four configurable filter bands monitor various critical machine components on your rotating equipment. Alarm levels and filter ranges are user configurable with the included PCH Vibration Studio.

This vibration monitor uses several narrow filter bands to enhance the vibration monitoring for condition monitoring purposes. Lower vibration amplitudes are more easily and more thoroughly tracked and you get more data on the condition of your machines, allowing you to schedule maintenance at the exact time that you need it.

PCH 1232 Vibration Guard features:
  • Measuring parameter: velocity mm/s or acceleration m/s², RMS or Peak
  • Frequency ranges: 10 to 1000 Hz or selectable HP/LP filters for narrow bands
  • Up to 4 configurable filter bands with scalar values
  • 2 alarm levels with individual delay times per filter band
  • 2 analog DC outputs 4-20 mA and 2 alarm relays
  • RS-485 and Modbus RTU communication
  • Setup by PCH user software PCH Vibration Studio through USB or RS-485
  • Self-test function can be activated externally

PCH 1270/1272 Vibration Guard (SIL 2)

Critical rotating machinery is often monitored by vibration sensors.

Our PCH 1270/1272 Compact Vibration Guard compares the actual vibration levels with the internal thresholds 10 times per second, making it suitable for early warning or even for emergency shutdown of your machinery.

Standard ISO 10816-3/20816-3 (2/10-1000 Hz) or customized filter ranges can be delivered. The PCH1270 and PCH1272 are ideal as part of the safety chain for dangerous machinery when high accuracy and fast response time are important.

PCH 1270 and 1272 comply with Functional Safety (EN13849), PL-d (SIL 2). Each calibrated Vibration Guard delivered by PCH Engineering comes with a test certificate. You can adjust the measuring range, vibration alarm levels, delay and hang times using switches on the monitor.

Now, here are the hard numbers.
